Hi.

Welcome to my blog! Here are some fashion and beauty inspirations for you!

Working on Me

Working on Me

 Welcome back lovelies!

Today's post is less about outer beauty and more about inner beauty. I've first been trying to  reach outside my comfort zone. I fell into sort of a writers/fashion block about a week ago. I couldn't make myself get dressed and take pictures and write. I lost sight of who and what I am truly doing this for.

Now, I'm back and more determined than ever. This gorgeous dress from Loft is sooo out of my comfort zone. Purple is not a color I wear often, but I felt like I needed to spice things up! Sometimes when I'm feeling down I step outside my box and try something new. It really refreshed my love for fashion and especially blogging! It's just the prettiest purple and the feminine ruffle on the back is so different and elegant.

Not only did I step out of my fashion box, but also Bailey and I stepped out of our comfort zone with our photos too! It was very rainy the week we took these pictures so we decided to try some pictures inside, and WOW. Of course, I expect nothing less from Bailey, she's absolutely wonderful. But these pictures really revived my love for sharing my fashion advice with you gorgeous Diamonds!

With all of the different things I tried this photoshoot, I really was able to pull myself out of the rut I was in, and now I feel like I could do this forever! I really appreciate all of you. I couldn't do any of this without you.

Other than this pretty dress and the remarkable photos, I wanted to share with you how I feed my soul and keep reaching for my dreams

Reading books that remind me of who I am and what I love really inspire me and keep m moving. This first book called The Curated Closet helped me discover what my style actually is. Anuschka Rees is the author of this book. She walks you through how to identify your style, how to shop more effectively and so much more. Finding my exact style was crucial for moving forward in blogging, so reading this reminds me of why I do what I do.

The next book is actually something my mom encouraged me to read. Dear Ijeawele, or A Feminist Manifesto in Fifteen Suggestions is a book about raising your daughter as a feminist. I'm actually reading it now and haven't gotten into depth but feminism is something I strongly believe in. This book is a daily reminder that I am enough and that I am strong.

Staying sane and true to yourself is so important. You have to remember why you are doing what you are doing. Sometimes it takes a second to think about or to figure out your why. It's not just you who has setbacks or gets stuck. Everyone does. You aren't alone! Keep your goal in sight and never give it up!

I'm going to be posting multiple times this week for a sort of test run! We'll see if you ladies like it! I'm really dedicated to this blog and I want it to be the best it can be for you all! See you soon!

xoxo,
